We're pretty straightforward about how we handle your info. No corporate mumbo-jumbo here - just real talk about what we collect and why.
Look, we're architects, not data miners. When you reach out to us or use our site, we might grab some basic stuff like your name, email, phone number, and whatever details you share about your project. That's pretty much it.
If you're filling out a contact form or sending us project inquiries, we'll keep that information so we can actually respond to you - makes sense, right? We also collect some technical bits through cookies and analytics, but that's just to see how folks use the site and make it better.
We're not selling your info to third parties or doing anything sketchy. Your trust matters way more to us than a quick buck.
Here's the deal - we use your info to do our job. That means responding to your inquiries, sending project proposals, keeping you updated on work progress, and occasionally sharing relevant updates about our services.
Sometimes we'll send out newsletters or project showcases (with client permission, obviously). Don't worry though - there's always an unsubscribe button if you're not feeling it anymore.
We might also use aggregated data to improve our services and understand what kind of projects people are interested in. But that's all anonymous stuff - no one's tracking you individually.
Yeah, we use cookies - but not the chocolate chip kind. These help us remember your preferences and see which pages get the most love. You can disable them in your browser if they bug you.
We use some external tools like Google Analytics and email services. They've got their own privacy policies, and they're pretty solid companies. We've vetted them.
This is your data, not ours. You've got rights, and we respect that. Want to see what info we have on you? Just ask. Need us to update something that's wrong? We'll fix it. Want everything deleted? We can do that too (though we might need to keep some stuff for legal reasons).
Under Canadian privacy laws (PIPEDA, specifically), you're entitled to know what personal information we hold about you and how we're using it. We take that seriously.
If you've got concerns or questions about how we handle your data, don't hesitate to reach out. We'd rather have a conversation than have you worrying about it.
We've got reasonable security measures in place to protect your information from unauthorized access or disclosure. Our systems are regularly updated, and we use encrypted connections for sensitive data transmission.
That said, nothing's 100% bulletproof on the internet. We do our best, but we can't guarantee absolute security. It's just being honest with you.
When we're working on your project, there's gonna be a lot of specific information shared - architectural plans, budget details, site information, all that jazz. We treat this stuff with serious confidentiality.
We won't showcase your project in our portfolio or share any images without your explicit permission. Some clients love the publicity, others value their privacy - we get it both ways.
Any sensitive project data is stored securely and only accessible to team members who actually need it for your project. We're not leaving blueprints lying around the office.
We're not hoarders. We keep your information as long as it's actually needed for the purposes we collected it for, or as long as the law requires us to keep it.
For active projects, we'll obviously keep everything on file. After a project wraps up, we typically retain records for about seven years - that's standard practice in the architecture industry for liability and reference purposes.
Marketing emails and general inquiries? If we haven't heard from you in a while and there's no active relationship, we'll eventually clear that out.
Things change, laws get updated, and we might need to adjust this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the date at the top and let active clients know if it's anything major.
We're not gonna pull any sneaky moves though. Any significant changes that affect how we handle your data will be clearly communicated.
Seriously, if anything here doesn't sit right with you or you've got questions about how we handle your information, just reach out. We're happy to chat about it.
